SCIENCE unit IT is !!!! Yay!
My grade 3 students are super excited about their new unit which is 'materials and matter'. Our tuning in activity was playing ‘Little
Alchemy’ on the IPads. Students played this game while understanding that when
two different elements are combined it sometimes makes a new element. Students
made notes of all the successful combinations in their scrap books.
Focusing on the first line of inquiry: Students are presently exploring the different properties of materials in the artifact corner and record their observations.

Aarek explains how different materials react differently with water. He also explains how the level of water rises when marbles are added in it.
